“CAMP Alatoo” PF Joins Two International Networks

“CAMP Alatoo” PF has officially become a member of two international platforms: the FAO Livestock Environmental Assessment and Performance (LEAP) Partnership and the Santiago Network. This will enable the organization to expand its capacity to implement modern scientific methodologies in pasture management and attract technical assistance to address the impacts of climate change.

The official introduction of “CAMP Alatoo” PF as a new member took place on September 23, 2026, during an online meeting of the FAO LEAP Steering Committee. The meeting was held in conjunction with the FAO Global Conference for Actions on One Health in Agrofood Systems in Rome, Italy.

The FAO LEAP Partnership brings together more than 300 members and experts worldwide, including government agencies, international associations in dairy, meat, and feed production, leading research institutes, and NGOs such as WWF and IUCN. The main objective of FAO LEAP is to move from discussions to concrete action in reducing environmental impact by developing science-based and standardized guidelines for assessing livestock supply chains. As part of this membership, “CAMP Alatoo” PF plans to apply LEAP guidelines in practical pasture management, share community-based land restoration practices with the international community, and foster dialogue among government agencies, the business sector, academia, and NGOs to enhance the climate resilience of pasture users.

A similar objective is pursued by the Santiago Network, which operates under the auspices of the UN and unites more than 100 international organizations and centers of expertise in climate risks. It assists vulnerable countries in attracting support to address and combat the impacts of climate change and natural disasters. Joining this global network will allow “CAMP Alatoo” PF to participate in international calls for technical assistance, present its expertise and practical experience at the global level, and expand its partner network.

According to “CAMP Alatoo” PF, joining FAO LEAP and the Santiago Network was made possible by the high level of expertise of the foundation's specialists. In a broader context, membership in these platforms contributes to bringing the best international methodologies and resources to sustainable development and environmental protection in the region.
