How the Four-Day Teambuilding Event of the CAMP Alatoo PF

Four days on the southern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul provided the team of the «CAMP Alatoo» PF not only with an opportunity to enjoy a change of scenery, but also with a chance to work productively—creating a new development strategy for the organization for the next four years.

However, it all began with honoring the memory of our colleagues who passed away untimely. A temporary memorial was arranged near the visitor center in the Zhargylchak reserve. As a sign of remembrance and in tribute to the contributions of employees Erkinbek Koichumanov (1979–2025) and Aleksandr Firsov (1953–2025), benches with memorial plaques were installed and fir trees were planted. For the foundation's team, this has become a meaningful and touching tradition.

Following this, the work transitioned into an intensive session format. Our team thoroughly discussed the results of the working groups across four key areas of the organization (1) HR Development: discussing human capital, internal standards, and team care; (2) Institutional Development: analyzing the organization's sustainability and the efficiency of internal processes; (3) Financial Development: addressing stability and financial planning; (4) Communications: external and internal connecting threads of the foundation.

It is worth noting that Sonja Dimter, a member of the Supervisory Board of the CAMP Alatoo PF, participated in the teambuilding event as a consultant. During the discussions, she asked clarifying questions and shared recommendations. In the session dedicated to communications, Sonja Dimter gave a brief presentation on constructive interaction and introduced the Nonviolent Communication (NVC) approach, which helps build respectful and effective dialogue across various types of relationships.

The goals and objectives outlined and adopted by the entire team will be refined, prioritized, and incorporated into the final Development Strategy, which will serve as a clear framework of guidance for the near future.
