Nine information boards have been installed in the Sarychat-Ertash State Nature Reserve (Issyk-Kul oblast). Their main goal is to help visitors easily navigate the area, learn about the unique features of the protected zone, and foster a respectful attitude toward nature. These measures align with the "One Health" approach, which emphasizes the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health.
As a reminder, the Sarychat-Eertash State Nature Reserve is one of the target sites where the “CAMP Alatoo” PF works under the 1Health4Nature project.
Essential information greets visitors right at the entrance to the reserve. Three large signboards have been set up here in Kyrgyz, Russian, and English. They feature a detailed map of the area, the history of the reserve's creation, and key rules of conduct.
Six additional boards have been placed across other sectors of the protected area. Through clear visual icons and in three languages, they illustrate what is permitted within the reserve and what actions are strictly prohibited to prevent harm to the ecosystem.
The information boards were produced and installed within the framework of the regional project 1Health4Nature – "One Health in Nature Conservation - Enhancing landscape resilience to zoonotic disease emergence by consolidating nature conservation systems in Central Asia". The “CAMP Alatoo” PF serves as one of the partners of this initiative.
