Memorandum of Cooperation and Guest Lectures: CAMP Alatoo PF Strengthens Ties with Universities

23 April 2026

CAMP Alatoo PF continues to expand its partnerships with universities, introducing students to the management of Kyrgyzstan's natural resources. Recently, land resource management experts delivered a guest lecture for students at the American University of Central Asia (AUCA). Students in the "Environmental Sustainability and Climatology" program learned about pasture-related challenges, the causes of land degradation, and the Foundation’s efforts to conserve one of the country's key natural assets.

This initiative continued at Ala-Too International University (AIU). Today, the CAMP Alatoo PF team met with students from the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology to conduct a mini-course on pasture and water resources, as well as energy-efficient technologies applied in Kyrgyzstan. The discussion went beyond theory: specialists demonstrated how pasture conditions can be monitored today, which tools help organize rational grazing, and how digital solutions can be utilized for water resource management. Special attention was paid to practical methods for insulating rural homes and reducing harmful emissions from traditional stove heating.

However, guest lectures are only one part of a much broader collaboration. To solidify this, a bilateral Memorandum of Cooperation was signed today between CAMP Alatoo PF and Ala-Too International University.

The Memorandum formalizes the intent of both parties to develop a partnership focused on educational quality, joint academic programs, and the training of specialists who meet modern labor market demands. This cooperation encompasses more than just an exchange of experience; it includes joint work on modern curricula, human potential development, research, the exchange of innovative educational methodologies and technologies, and other initiatives of mutual interest.

As noted by Murat Zhumashev, Director of CAMP Alatoo PF, collaborating with the university provides an opportunity to share practical knowledge while offering students the chance to undertake internships at the organization or choose one of its focus areas as a thesis topic.

"It is important for us to attract specialists who are already familiar with our work before they join us as employees. Therefore, we are ready to invest our knowledge, experience, and mentorship in the future members of our team," he stated.

The signing of the memorandum continues the ongoing dialogue between the education system and CAMP Alatoo PF experts, who possess extensive practical experience in sustainable natural resource management. Today’s event confirmed that CAMP Alatoo PF and AIU are committed to a full-scale partnership, paving the way for new joint educational and research initiatives.
